School holiday in Krabi

IMG_2183

We are back from a few beautiful days in Krabi. It was idilic and truly paradise!!! We had reserved a little tree hut on Railay Beach which is on a small peninsula between the city of Krabi and Ao Nang. It is accessible only by boat due to high limestone cliffs so we got a little boat to take us to Railay Beach. That alone was an experience seeing the huge lime stone cliffs towering in the horizon and the turquoise water of the sea. Just as in the movies!

The peninsula itself is very small and it felt as if we were alone. Our hut in the jungle was ideal with two small bedrooms and outdoors showers. The beach was a two minute walk away so the kids enjoyed making sand castles and swimming in the sea. There were two little shacks which served a few western and Thai dishes. No more!! So we got a feel we were on a Robinson Crusoe adventure! 🙂
