A day at Angkor Wat…

What a peaceful little town is Siem Reap! We just came back from visiting Angkor Wat and it was sooo impressive!!! What an incredible site! I remember how in Bangkok some of the mums were frowning when I explained we would go to Cambodia for the school holidays. With kids????

I find it really important that they tag along with us parents when we travel.  You just need to find the right balance. Make it fun! Like today, when we were visiting Angkor Wat. Ruben had taken his little camera and I made him take pictures of the ruins and share it with his little brother. He came running after me and explained why he liked that ” piece of rock”, (as he would call it).  That triggered a little conversation about Angkor Wat. How do you think it was built? How long ago?

So Ruben really wanted to come back as we saw some people on bikes and riding elephants. Perhaps on our last day. This afternoon, we have a dive into the pool as it is really hot and tomorrow we are off to visit a little workshop.

They are still so small and of course they will not remember it all but I am hoping we can share many many more travels together as I am convinced it is the best education you can give them!
