MoMa!

Today, we visited the Museum Of Modern Art ( MoMa). What an incredible collection of art!! You can easily spent here the whole day! We came on our bikes which felt amazing. It brings back memories of my time in Amsterdam where I would criss cross the city on my bike. How many did I have again? Seven or eight???

Biking gives you such a sensation of freedom and that is what I felt again today. Not depending on tuk tuk’s, taxi’s or your car needing a parking space. We just parked the bikes opposite the road, had a quick bite in a little cafe next door and off we went on a journey of discovery. I love being surrounded by art. It stimulates your imagination and the silence that is present is so healing. Away from the street noise. Being one with incredible pieces of art where your mind can drift away…

On the way back home, we came by a little bar and heard some jazz music. We stopped and checked it out. A few little stairs let us go down into a basement and suddenly we were surrounded with groovy jazz musicians! We didn’t think of the bikes anymore which we had left outside but instead ordered a glass of wine and listened to some beautiful tunes. What an amazing ending of our day! 🙂
