Picnic’s on the “Hei” and in the forests..

Finally, no rain today so I couldn’t wait to take the boys outside and get them biking! We made a few sandwiches, took fruits and orange juice and got it all ready in my basket. I remember doing this with my parents in Texel. Biking against the wind till you drop and then a stop below the dykes…hiding from that terrible cold wind and starving. The sandwiches will taste like heaven then!  So we took off for a big ride through the “heide” and made a small stop and then continued through the forests for some football and a lunch.

The boys had so much fun. We encountered a few cows on the way and Guido on the back of the bike didn’t stop singing. I really enjoy these moments with them. Out there with them alone, observing their play, listening to their conversations and in the meantime given them insights of life…

Today into the Dutch culture. Because biking is so much a part of us and my boys being half Dutch love it too! XX
