We were invited to spend a weekend at a beautiful villa in the Fort in Galle. I love the Dutch Fort. It’s little narrow streets, the architecture, the ramparts and views over the ocean but most of all the houses! They are just stunning little palaces and lucky us to have friends and able to enjoy these magical spaces.
From the outside they look tiny and some a little run down but once you step inside it is a little paradise. The villa we stayed is located near the ramparts so you can see the ocean from the terrace upstairs. It has an open living space with a splash pool which the kids loved! The rooms are bright and beautifully decorated. Something I really appreciate and hope the kids will once they are getting older. It makes such a difference if you feel you are home from home…!
