Sydney!

This morning we woke up and drove to Vaucluse. The neighbourhood where Miguel grew up when he was a little boy. He wanted to show the boys where he went to school, played football and where he lived. When we parked the car in front of the house, we were lucky to see the owner in the garden and were invited inside!

They showed us around the house which brought back a lot of memories for Miguel. After a tea we left and drove to Vaucluse Public School. The school was closed as it was a Sunday but we had a sneak peak inside through the gate and I took a lovely picture with Miguel and the boys.

We then went off to catch the ferry to Sydney Harbour. We really wanted to show the boys the famous Sydney Opera House! Lucky we had half a hour for some fish and chips in the park before the ferry arrived. That filled their tummies and with a warm jumper on we embarked.

The boat ride was stunning as we had the most amazing view from the water. The boys loved it and they were eager to see it from nearby. Guido kept on asking where the kangaroos where so we had to explain him that most likely -on our way to Byron Bay- we would maybe see them. Ever since we left Sri Lanka, he can’t think of anything else!
