Once Miguel had finished his last meeting we left Las Vegas. We managed to hire ourselves a good car that would hopefully safely take us along Route 66. We were both very excited to follow this famous route on our way to Santa Monica in California. It was extremely hot so we tried to stop so now and then. The further away we got from Las Vegas, the condition of the roads diminished and we encountered little shops, patrol stations and restaurants being closed or totally run down…
At one particular place we stopped and I took some pictures. The old doors, the colour and shades of the old grocery store fascinated me. By total coincidence, there was even a painting of Route 66 on one of the walls. What a great background would this have been for a Si!Si! FOR KIDS shooting! 🙂
