Nothing more fun and enriching than spending the last days of 2016 in the remote village of Ulpotha. We had a wonderful time with best friends and we made lovely new ones. Soaking up the peaceful surroundings and embracing nature in its full glory it felt as if we were floating after a 23hrs long haul flight.
Ruby, Sam and Guido still on a jet lag were happy to change their heavy winter clothes for their favourite Si!Si! shirts and felt privileged being flower boys at Renee and Larah’s simple but ooh so beautiful local wedding ceremony.
New Year’s eve was magical with lanterns floating on the lake, the beat of the local drummers, kids climbing and jumping off trees and us… the older lot… dancing the night away under the stars. No better beginning of the New Year!
