We left Nairobi (Tigoni) early morning and went up north to Samburu National Reserve. We took about 6 hours and the road led us through many many townships. Everywhere people on the streets, colourful shacks and stalls of fruits, vegetables and any sort of goods you can think of. Like Sri Lanka, you see animals walking freely around. Small kids playing alongside the roads and heavy trucks speeding by.
The further we got north the landscape changed from the green tea estates of Tigoni to dry plains and the famous acacia trees in the distance. A beautiful scenery which immediately make you think of the movie ” Out of Africa”. It was hard to believe that we were actually here with the kids, visiting dear friends in Kenya. How lucky we are!
