Stellenbosch is a little town just about 40 minute drive outside Cape Town. My mum and I love that place! I think it’s because it has something familiar. Probably because of the architecture. The houses looks so much as the ones of the little towns of Laren and Blaricum in the Netherlands where my mother used to spend so much time of her life. And then it has such an amazing climate. It never get’s really cold.
The surroundings are just stunning! Open fields full of wineries with the mountains in the horizon. Wine everywhere and the food is so delicious. So we were so happy to be back after 5 years and realised nothing much had changed. It still has the same lay back feeling so we enjoyed our strolls through town, each other’s company and spent the most amazing mother’s day together for the first time in years! Love you mama!
