It is going to be Galle!! Yes!!!!!! So happy for the kids and for us! We have made the decision to move back to Galle after the summer. Today, we visited the school here in Galle and the principal confirmed that we can enrol the children next term. How exciting!

Later today we hope to confirm the house of our friend Eduard. He has a beautiful heritage house not far from the school with a lovely garden, two dogs and a nice swimming pool! I know the house since we moved to Sri Lanka in 2003 and it has always been one of the houses I would have loved to live in. So fingers crossed!!!!

We arrived in Galle yesterday and we are staying at Simon and Erik’s house in the middle of the rice paddies. A gorgeous house with a big garden so the kids were of course playing football the moment we stepped in and Guido was keen to try out the bow and arrow. My little Robin Hood!

In the afternoon, we went to Wijaya beach. An old time favourite. The beach was empty and we made a lovely walk and had a great swim. With our snorkeling gear we hoped to find the turtles who are sometimes swimming around in the lagoon but unfortunately they were not there. I took a little movie of the boys, capturing these precious moments and surroundings which we will be part of again very soon! 🙂
