Today we spent the day in the little fishermen village of Angeiras. The town was in full swing as the locals were in the mids of their “fiestas”. The streets were filled with market stalls selling all local produce. Ruben was keen to buy a bag full of black olives and of course we couldn’t resist to try the Portuguese chorizo and cheese!
After a long long lunch (we ended up at 5pm!), we strolled down to the beach where colourful boats were beautifully decorated and all lined up at the shore. The water was cold so Miguel and I had a little siesta while the boys played football on the beach in front of the little fishermen houses.
Just as we were about the go home, we found ourselves among a group of locals all dressed up for the “night fiestas”. It reminded me of the first time I experienced the “Spanish fiestas” in Valencia as a teenager. Now walking along Ruby, 13 years old. A total teenager! Almost as tall as me.. please let time slow down. I want to enjoy this bunch of three for many more travels to come. Inshalah!!
