A magical beginning of the New Year it was! Exactly one year ago, we were celebrating New Year’s Eve with our beloved friends in Ulpotha and I can’t believe that one year has passed. So many changes and moments of happiness. We should feel blessed after a few difficult years indeed..
This time Sam and Ruby were not with us. Sam was in Europe for the first time on his own and Ruby preferred to stay in Colombo with his friends. If something has changed than it is him! An incredible growth spurt has changed him from a beautiful boy into a handsome young men. A total teenager! So parties with friends are more fun than spending the last day of the year with your parents and little brother. Totally get that!
For Guido it was bliss as he got all the attention but we didn’t see much of him. Zindzi, Flynn, Roar and Neve and Miles were there from school. Kids were in the open all day, playing, biking, peddling on the lake. No screens! I couldn’t be more happy and Miguel could spend a few days disconnected too. That is what Ulpotha has and we love so much…
