Guido turned 8 today and looking at this picture, I suddenly realise how much you have changed! You look so much older but still when I see you going off with Sam and Ruby every morning to school, I see a little boy and secretly hoping that it will stay that way forever…..

A little sleepy still but all so excited this morning when you were waiting for the tuk tuk to go to school. We had breakfast together and papa played ” Happy Birthday” on the piano. New football shoes, a football and a surf lease for your board were your presents. It says it all. You love sports! You excel in football but also academically you are very strong. It didn’t take you long to get used to your new school and in a couple of days you made so many friends. The teachers are so fond of you and I am so proud of you my darling!
In the afternoon, we organised a party for you in the garden of our house. Water gun games, swimming and football with making your own pizza in the kitchen with the help of Nalini. So much fun! We ended the day with ice cream and you said to me when coming out of the shower; ” Mama, I had the best time of my life!” Thank you darling for being so lovable and sweet. I love you so much! Stay gold…x
