A walk to Maison Filipo

My three musketeers all wrapped up in winter gear! A smile appears on my face and a little giggle when I see them dressed like this! They struggle in the morning to get ready. Soooo much to look after and soooo much to put on. My tropical birds. They have it too easy back in Sri Lanka. So I hear;……” Mam!!!!, where is my……????”. And this three times!! But after a few days, it is getting easier and so this morning, Miguel decided we should leave the ski for a day and make a walk to the next village. Gloves, hats and boots on and off we went!

A beautiful sunny day, with a clear blue sky and crispy snow. It was all uphill so Guido struggled a bit with the pace but with a stop so now and then, we made it! We had told the boys that we would have lunch at Maison Filipo, a well known restaurant in the area. People come here from far and the place is incredible charming. Actually, the whole village! Old wooden houses, a little church and on the background the mountains covered in snow. So idillic and great for a few pictures which the boys agreed to knowing that they would have lunch in a few minutes time 🙂

Guille joined us later on his way back from Geneva. Once outside, I walked right into a snowball fight. Boys being boys! That was another great scene for a few more shots and a little video you can see here below! 🙂
