Amsterdam!

On our way back from Haarlem, we stopped for lunch in Amsterdam. The boys know the city by now but I never had shown them my faculty of Law where I studied for 6 years. So we headed to the centre of town for lunch at Cafe van Daelen, one of my favourite places and full of memories. It is here where I spent a lot of hours with my girlfriends from the Uni. It is just behind the Dam square. As it was very hot we headed there straight from Central Station.

After lunch, we walked to Oudemanhuis Poort direction Cafe de Jaren. Another favourite where we met my good old friend Erik and his family. It was real fun to catch up again with him and we made a beautiful walk along the canals, visited our faculty of law and had an ice cream. The boys enjoyed themselves as Erik is always full of humour! 🙂

He was determined to show them the red light district on our way back to the Dam square. It needed a bit explanation from uncle Erik which he did in his Dutchy directness..;) We ended up exhausted of the heat and took the train back to Hilversum, dying to see Guido! x
