I couldn’t resist to dedicate a post to our house here in Santa Teresa. It is such a reflection of the neighbourhood and people who live here. Bohemian, old glory, eclectic, artistic. While the boys were doing a bit of homework, I took a few pics. It is such an inspiring place to be. The amount of artwork at the walls, the books and magazines. They all tell a story..
After lunch, we headed to our friends at a local gallery. They offer art classes and so the boys got their hands on a dress for me that they stamped with their hands in vivid colours. “A present for mama!” So sweet! The owner of the shop has an amazing voice and it was such a pleasure to hear him sing. Miguel managed to play a few songs along on the guitar which was really special. They were all surprised how he knew them so well! Twenty years of listening to Bosa Nova is the secret! Even I managed to tune in. So much fun! 🙂
Last night when Miguel came back from Sao Paulo, we headed straight to a few bars which Miguel had seen on his way home. Ruben stayed at home with Sam and Guido. We were not far away…a couple of street down the road. But what a scene! So many people dancing in the streets, playing music and drinking caipirinha! We danced the night away. Literally! Chatted and had fun with the locals what they know so well to do here in Brasil! We loved it! X
