And here we are at Copacabana beach! We were so much looking forward to have a swim in the ocean ( although cold!). It is not what we are used to in Sri Lanka but the boys loved it!!! We spent the whole afternoon enjoying the beach. I had managed to get a football for the boys so they were quickly off to the other side playing with a few locals.
You can tell that they are used to the tropical heat. It is not very different from what we have in Sri Lanka. Miguel and I found a little “shack” with caipirinha’s and great music so we were all in our salsa! Watching the boys play. Not having to think about tomorrow’s school wake up call or any other commitments is a real luxury. We stayed till the sun went down and then went walking to our apartment. Only 10 minutes up the road.
Tomorrow we plan to walk to Ipanema beach and spent a few hours there. Can’t believe we are here! Happy! X
