Today, we made a stunning drive into the country side. Miguel was keen for us to see the village of Garzon. Lisa, a dear friend from the industry has her little getaway there and although she hadn’t arrived yet, she had invited us to come and see it. So we were all excited!
On our way, we stopped a few times. The countryside is really like what you would find in a romantic movie. Wild horses everywhere, flowers and endless hilly fields of green. The light gives everything a magical touch and by the time we drove back home the sun was setting and we couldn’t get enough of the colour scheme. The wild cactus plants pitching high against the sky and the waves rolling in roughly full of white foam. Nobody to be seen. An occasional kite surfer. No sun beds or restaurants…Just nature!
The village of Garzon was really charming. Just a few houses. No shops. Only a sophisticated restaurant which opened a few years ago by the famous chef, Francis Mallmann. It was him who put Garzon on the map and now the jet set and other celebrities paying a visit to this unique place. Far away from everywhere. What a gem! I know Miguel will tell me tonight that he wouldn’t mind to move here…And who wouldn’t!?!! X
