This afternoon, we all went with Emilio to Punta de Lobos. He usually surfs here and he wanted to show us how the break works, how the waves are coming in and hang out with Val at the beach while the boys could see him in the water battling the wind and cold. Goshh!! It was windy and cold!
We were all layered up, waiting for him to get the perfect ride and he did!! The view was spectacular and the boys were fascinated, as if they were watching a movie, their eyes fixed on Emilio and following him all the way through.
Miguel and I were in need of something warm so we thought of having a tea and look for a place where we could protect us from the wind. There were lot’s of heathy juice bars around and a little market where locals were selling their handicraft. A pretty scene and the boys didn’t take long to follow us once they find out we had left them.
The picture of all of us which Emilio took of us this afternoon, is very precious to me. It was when I realised how tall Ruben had become when I tried laying my arm around him and he looked at me with a smile and did exactly that. An arm around me!! Gosh, I felt a moment of proud but also nostalgic. The days of my little boy are over… but feeling so privileged and happy to see him growing into this amazing loving guy… x
