And they did it!! So proud of the three of them! Withstanding the cold and the amazing waves and current. What a contrast with Sri Lanka where they can run into the sea and hit almost any wave coming their way. Here it is paddling hard and show perseverance . Both felt frustrated and after trying for a whole hour Miguel decided to give them a few clues where to get in. It helped and Ruben managed to finally hit a wave!
Emilio was coaching Guido this morning but would later be with Sam and Ruben for the last part. I think by that time they both were exhausted but it was good to see that they didn’t gave up. During a break, they enjoyed the warm empanada’s which we had bought in town which gave them new energy. Both Miguel and I were covered in layers of clothes but we were enjoying the whole scene and motivated them to get back in for a last round.
By the end of the morning, we all went back home and chilled for the rest of the day. The boys were too tired to do anything else for the day so we relaxed at the cabana. We made a delicious guacamole and pasta for lunch. Soon after, we had a siesta and played “uno” in the afternoon. A perfect day!! X
