Bye bye Elqui…

Leaving Elqui was not easy. For many reasons….We had made some really special friends and all so unexpected. Perhaps that is why and others would say…”it was meant that way”..

I also realise that we are coming to the end of our trip. And that is in itself not easy to accept as we would have loved to continue. Miguel and I talked about it last night.. Going up north to Peru and emerge ourself in the culture of the Andes people and stitch another 6 months to our journey through South America..

Lolo and Oreana sparked our curiosity and now that we are ten weeks on the road, we kind have found our routine. It all has gone so natural and easy which makes me wonder at times why? Maybe because we are used to travel and the boys too. Perhaps because we are still drawing from our past experiences when Miguel and I were in our twenties and crossed the globe and really travelled to the most remote places in the world. Perhaps….

But I just feel proud of us five. Of how special this trip has been and how beautiful it will be to think of all those precious moments together as ONE.

Thank you so much. X
