Farewell lunch…

Our last lunch and we are off to Santiago… The end of three beautiful days in Zapallar and almost of our trip. The time with Edgardo was very special and we are grateful for his kindness and hospitality. We are hopeful to see him again soon in Sri Lanka in our new home!

This morning, we packed our bags and did a bit of washing. I realise that we actually don’t bring much more luggage back. Roberto did bring the rug and a few things from Bariloche but all the souvenirs that we have bought on the way are all still in good shape. Guido has been checking in all the time. My little perfectionist! Sam and Ruben are less interested although Ruben did ask me a few times about Maya’s gift. Sam carries his matte and cup from Uruguay himself in his backpack. Something he treasures and likes to show his friends at school…

And so here we are…For the last time we have put our bags in our open truck. Tomorrow, we have one more day in Santiago. Miguel has a meeting there before we are taking our long haul flight of 11 hours to Rome…..!!!
