Yesterday night it was the second performance of the musical Oliver. And was I proud??!!!! I couldn’t tell you how impressed I was with Sam’s acting!! He was even better than the night before and sharing it with Miguel who had come from Colombo topped it off! Like whipped cream on the cake…:)

Goshh here he was, standing alone as Mr Bumble, on stage with Oliver. The first song  ” Boy For Sale”  of the play with a live orchestra and a whole room full of parents, family, friends and supporters of GIC. I felt my heart beating when I saw his eyes rolling to the left side ( right for him), looking for Sandarie, to give him the sign. And he pitched it well!!! I was so relieved!

Guido was also part of the musical as one of the orphans. He did a great job with the singing and had few lines in one of the scenes. Ruben was together with Rami backstage. In charge of making sure everything would run smooth and he did a great job according to some of the teachers!

The whole show was unbelievable. Great dancing, singing and acting by the whole cast. As parents we couldn’t be more proud and I hope I can attach a little video of Sam and Guido which I made during the dress rehearsals a few days earlier.

Because Sam, being Sam, he had fallen on the play ground just one week ago. He injured his shoulder and couldn’t move for almost 5 days. It was all up in the air if he could even perform but he did it. Using his stick to give him support.

I have sent pictures and the video to my mum and the family back in Spain. They loved it!  X
