We spent 5 wonderful days filled with activities, laughter, fun, yoga and indulging in the most delicious organic rice & curry at Ulpotha. My favourite and most treasured magical place in Sri Lanka.
My best friend Anthe, had organised a kids / family camp and it could not have worked out better. Ruben as a camp leader which he thoroughly enjoyed and did super well. And Sam and Guido among their friends from school in Galle and Colombo were not to be seen whole day long which left us parents time to relax, do yoga and reboost our energy with Ayurvedic massages and detox treatments! 🙂
Although we miss our family in Europe and we won’t be able to join them in Ribadeo in Spain and my family in Holland this year, we surely have been lucky to have spent this time outdoors. Away from the routine, the lockdown mode and surrounded with friends who all felt connected and privileged to be at Ulpotha during these unsettling and difficult times..
Back in Galle, we heard that schools need to close again and we wonder what consequences of the small outbreak of Corona infections here not far from home will have. Ruben and Guido are still in Ulpotha for the second camp and Miguel is in Kandy mapping his Tea Country Trail. Sam and I are here at home. All feels and looks so peaceful….. But who knows?..
