What a memorable day…A day I will never forget. A happy moment and somewhat sad. Here you are …waving me goodbye from your window on the first floor of your student residence. It makes me happy to see that big smile but I feel the tears dripping down on my seat while I drive away and turn the corner… What has just happened? He left home!
Two months ago, you arrived with a suitcase full of tropical clothes from Sri Lanka, a guitar and your record player. We went on a mission to find a room. So many obstacles on our way but we did it!
Such a laugh seeing you hanging your shower curtain 😉 And so proud of how independent you have become over the years. Something you have longed for a very long time. So here you are in your cozy studio in Amsterdam, at the start of a new chapter in your life. I was once that 18 year old girl in Amsterdam….What great memories and it feels wonderful you are at the beginning of it all. Have fun Ruby, we will soo sooo miss you…xx mama
