When looking at these pictures, it almost feels I am back in Europe. Maybe somewhere in Austria or Zwitserland but we have found this most beautiful cottage just a few kilometers outside of Bariloche in a place called Llao Llao. We have a stunning few over the lake which is only 10 meters awayContinue reading “Bariloche!”

Route 40!
Argentina’s legendary Ruta 40, is one of the world’s great driving adventures, running parallel to the Andes Mountains for nearly 5,000 km. The southern portion of the route is most famous, highlighted by the 1,400 km stretch through Patagonia from El Calafate to the the Lake District in Bariloche. We decided to embark onContinue reading “Route 40!”
Horse riding with a local gaucho!
The horse riding this afternoon is probably one of my favourite experiences so far on the trip. Doing this all together as a family was really special. We joined a few others for a 2 hour long ride through the Patagonian countryside. The scenery was mind blowing with views over Lake Argentina and the mountains.Continue reading “Horse riding with a local gaucho!”
Perito Moreno!
And there we are standing, in front of Perito Moreno, something we had been looking forward to see so much! El Calafate!
We left Buenos Aires around mid day to the airport to catch our flight to El Calafate. Yesterday, was the first day of the New Year and we stayed home. Relaxed and packed our bags. Did some homework and had our last dinner at “home”. The night before, we had been in touch with friendsContinue reading “El Calafate!”
La Boca!

So we made a short stroll through the back streets. Took a few nice pictures but then headed to the football museum and stadium of La Boca for aContinue reading “La Boca!”
Tango in San Telmo!
Goshh, thanks to Tango and this couple who made our day! So happy we did manage to get to San Telmo after an hour of a nightmare. My card got blocked by my third attempt of withdrawing money and Miguel didn’t got his card back! And there we were, with three kids and hardlyContinue reading “Tango in San Telmo!”
Our home in Buenos Aires!
This morning we left Colonia del Sacramento by ferry. We had seen the ferry the other day when we strolled around the little town and the boys were quit excited to go onboard. We had to wait a little while at the terminal before embarking but all went smooth… The ferry ride is only 45Continue reading “Our home in Buenos Aires!”
Colonia del Sacramento
Today is boxing day. For me it will always be the day of the Tsunami. At 9.20am. Also this morning, I lit a little candle that I found in the kitchen cupboard and remembered those terrifying moments and honored in thoughts who helped out and mourned again thinking of those who left their lives….far away…onContinue reading “Colonia del Sacramento”
